While our field staff are surveying area to expand the electric fence they found 3 Emblic Myroboland or Indian Goosebery (Makhampom) trees which its scientific name is Phyllanthus emblica L. Elephant eat them to rid of the parasite worm and help in digestive system. Also this fruit is the richest natural source of vitamin C which it has vitamin C 20 times more than oranges .
ขณะที่พวกเราเดินสำรวจพื้นที่ที่จะต่อเติมรั้วไฟฟ้านั้น เราได้พบกับต้นมะขามป้อม จำนวน 3 ต้น ในพื้นที่ ซึ่งต้นมะขามป้อมนั้นมีชื่อทางวิทยาศาสตร์ว่า Phyllanthus emblica L. ถ้าหากช้างได้กินมีสรรพคุณทางยาก็คือ ผล เป็นยาระบาย ยาถ่ายพยาธิเส้นด้ายได้ดีมาก และช่วยย่อยอาหาร อีกทั้งผลมะขามป้อม ยังมีวิตามินซีมากกว่าผลส้ม ถึง 20 เท่าอีกด้วย
